Enjoy Celtic culture firsthand — and help us raise funds for the 2025 Robert Burns Celebration!

All-Day Event Pass: $50. (Note: Cost of food depends on what you order from the menu.)

9am Planetarium / “Saints and Scholars” Talk — FREE!

Learn more about Columba, Patrick and Celtic Culture (includes free souvenirs!).

10am Planetarium / Tartan Rosettes Craft

Make an authentic Celtic cockade you can wear to work — or to a Highland Ball.

11am Planetarium / Celtic Music Intro (Harps, Penny Whistles & Bagpipes)

Get introduced to the basics of Scottish, Irish and Welsh instruments. And practice an authentic Celtic song you

can perform at your next celebration!

12pm Little Waldorf Saloon / British Food and Drinks

Enjoy Fish & Chips and other great options in the “Banquet Hall.” And benefit the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans!

2pm Planetarium / Celtic Treasure Hunt

Explore a Celtic maze, solve riddles, runes and puzzles—and touch the Blarney Stone! Then bring your completed

packet back to the Planetarium to claim a prize!

3pm Nevada Historical Society / “Celts in Nevada” with Ron James

People of Celtic heritage have had a big impact on Nevada history, from John Mackay and Senator McCarran to

Scottish ranchers and Cornish miners. Come learn more from author and historian Ron James.

4pm Nevada Historical Society / Scottish Country Dance Intro

Similar to square dancing, Scottish Country Dancing has been enjoyed by all ages in all corners of society, from

royals to common folk. Enjoy learning a set or two!

6pm Planetarium / Exploring Neverland: Disney’s “Treasure Planet” and Pirates Party

Explore Scottish stories, from Peter Pan and Princess Merida to Sherlock Holmes and Harry Potter! Also see the

Robert Louis Stevenson classic as sci-fi — and party like a pirate! Prizes for the best pirate costume (male and

female) and plenty of (nonalcoholic) grog for all!

8pm Planetarium / Exploring the Highlands: From “Monarch of the Glen” to “Outlander”

A warm welcome to Scots and Sassenachs alike! Experience the Highlands through movies and TV.

Take your picture with Hector from “Monarch of the Glen” — the actual portrait from the show, for the first time in

the US! And see how stories and images transport us to other times and places, real and imagined.

9:30 Planetarium / Celtic Constellations & Stargazing

Private Star Party focusing on stars and stories of the Scots, Irish and Welsh.
